Funding Sources

The Southern High-Speed Rail Commission's planning and projects are
funded through several federal sources and local state match. State funds
come from the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT), the
Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD), and
the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.

-Requires 100% State Match
-$6.7 million appropriated to SRRTC from 2001 to 2006

Grade Crossing Hazard Elimination (1103(f))
-100% Federal Monies/ No Match Required

High Priority Earmarks
-Usually 80% Federal Monies / 20% Local Match
